The scope and nature of the work of the Standing Committee on Judicial Ethics & Insights (aka "Judicial Ethics") include authorization to:
- Advocate for improvements in Judicial Ethics
- Organize, establish and implement programs on Judicial Ethics
- Organize, establish and implement a retreat program for newly elected and experienced Louisiana trial judges
The Standing Committee on "Judicial Ethics" is divided into three (3) subcommittees to include:
- Judicial Ethics
- Insights on Gender & Racial Fairness
- Judicial Balance
The Chair of the Committee on "Judicial Ethics" automatically becomes the Chair of the Judicial Ethics Subcommittee concerned with. The Chairs of the Judicial Ethics, Insights and Judicial Balance Subcommittees of the Standing Committee on "Judicial Ethics" serve through appointment by the President.
