 Judical Education Committee

The scope and nature of the work of the Standing Committee on Judicial Education include authorization to:

  1. Advocate for improvements in judicial education, training and professional development;
  2. Organize, establish and implement a mentoring program for Louisiana trial judges; and
  3. Organize, establish and implement a program of orientation for newly elected and/or appointed Louisiana trial judges

The Standing Committee on Judicial Education is divided into three (3) subcommittees to include:

  1. Professional Education & Development
  2. Mentoring Judges 
  3. Judicial Orientation

The Chair of the Committee on "Judicial Education" automatically becomes the Chair of the Professional Development Subcommittee concerned with. The Chairs of the Professional Education and Development, Mentoring Judges and Judicial Orientation Subcommittees of the Standing Committee on "Judicial Education" serve through appointment by the President.
